In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top five social networking apps in Peru showcased varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and active user engagement, as reported by Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 58K and 88K. Its active user base remained stable, hovering around 26M throughout the quarter.

Threads experienced weekly downloads ranging from 42K to 57K, while active users grew from 1.3M to over 1.7M by the end of December, indicating increasing engagement.

Google Meet had weekly downloads that peaked at nearly 50K in mid-November, though they tapered off to around 6K by the year’s end. Active users showed a decline from approximately 2.1M to 1.1M over the quarter.

Facebook saw consistent weekly downloads, reaching up to 112K in the final week of December. Its active user numbers grew steadily from 18.4M to 19.1M. The app also generated weekly revenues peaking at $27.3K during the quarter.

Telegram Messenger reported a notable spike in downloads to 107K in mid-November, with active users reaching a high of 6.8M. Weekly revenue climbed to over $7K by the end of December.
